Head of Web Development

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Head of Web Development to be responsible for leading a team of developers and help us build and deploy forward-thinking solutions for the future of transportation.

Responsibilities
 

• Designing and developing front-end and back-end web architecture and providing guidance on technical issues.
• Developing and supporting projects from conception to implementation.
• Providing initiative and technical leadership to build reliable, high-quality solutions covering fundamentals of web development.
• Using your creative and innovative problem-solving skills on different geospatial products & services.
• Mentoring and managing full of talented developers, tracking and developing their career development with 1:1’s.
  
   

Requirements
 

• 7+ years experience on Web development
• Solid experience and history of writing modern, maintainable Python
• Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask) and other well-known libraries such as Celery, Pandas, Numpy, etc.
• Strong understanding of Linux and networking concepts
• Good knowledge of Docker, Docker Swarm, and AWS platforms
• Strong understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL/PostGIS) and NoSQL (ES) databases
• Experience with CI/CD
• Experience working within agile development teams and processes,
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Version Control (Git)

• Being familiar with RESTful web services
• Familiarity with any part of the current tech stack (https://techstacks.talentgrid.io/?id=147)
• Experience with IaC tools
• Being a user of open source tools and committed to open source
• Once needed, you won't hesitate to raise your shields for polyglot requirements
